// What I do
Microservices
Python (gRPC, FastAPI) and Go services deployed on Kubernetes (EKS) with Helm for clean, repeatable configuration.
Real-time Data Pipelines
Apache Flink, Fluentd, AWS Kinesis & Temporal pipelines processing millions of events daily with serverless orchestration.
Cloud & CI/CD
AWS infrastructure with full GitHub Actions pipelines that build, test, push to ECR and deploy to Kubernetes automatically.
Auth & Access Control
Auth0 for authentication and Cerbos for authorization, with fine-grained AWS IAM roles across all microservices.
Databases & Data Lake
Amazon RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL), self-managed MongoDB & Redis, and S3 + Athena as a durable, queryable data lake.
AI-powered Tooling
Built AI systems for automated data-quality rule generation and CSS/XPath selector extraction from crawled HTML.
The tools I build with.
A pragmatic, production-tested toolkit spanning languages, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure and the glue that ties them together.

From freelance product builds to operating production systems at scale. Here's the path so far.
Backend Engineer

Kathmandu, Nepal
Designing and operating the microservices, data pipelines, and AWS infrastructure behind a large-scale web data platform.
- Designed, developed and maintained microservices using Python (gRPC, FastAPI) and Go, deployed on Kubernetes (EKS) with Helm charts.
- Built and optimized real-time data pipelines with Java, Apache Flink, Fluentd and AWS Kinesis, processing millions of events daily, orchestrated via AWS Lambda, EventBridge and Temporal.
- Engineered full CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to build, test and push Docker images to AWS ECR and deploy to Kubernetes clusters.
- Integrated Auth0 for authentication and Cerbos for authorization, building a secure, decoupled access-control layer with fine-grained AWS IAM roles.
- Managed Amazon RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL), self-managed MongoDB & Redis on EC2, and S3 as a data lake with Athena for ad-hoc querying.
- Delivered database tuning and performance optimizations for high-traffic systems, reducing API latency from seconds to milliseconds.
- Built AI-powered tooling: a data-quality rule generator and a pipeline that extracts CSS selectors / XPaths from crawled HTML using AWS Lambda + Temporal.
- Built an API-gateway-friendly scraping service with an orchestrator + internal fetcher architecture, supporting static and Playwright scrapes with Redis-backed session and strategy memory.

Shipped end-to-end mobile and web products for clients, from P2P marketplaces to on-demand booking apps.
- Built cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter backed by Node.js APIs and deployed on AWS.
- Delivered complete products including a P2P marketplace, an on-demand mechanic booking app, and a file-encryption app.
- Designed database schemas and REST APIs, handling auth, storage and real-time interactions.

Save For
An Android/iOS app that encrypts files and folders so users can store sensitive data securely in the cloud.
Vitage Shop
A peer-to-peer marketplace for selling items online, with likes, comments, replies and a full social feed.
Find a Mechanic
An on-demand app to locate the nearest mechanic shop and book a mechanic, with live maps and order tracking.
Election Update Bot
A Twitter bot that scraped and posted real-time election results, delivering live vote updates to followers.
Lend Library
A book-sharing Android app where enthusiasts lend and borrow books from each other instead of buying new ones.

Hackathon Champion: CrawlGuard
Grepsr
Led a cross-functional team to design and build CrawlGuard, a real-time data-quality protection system, in a 48-hour sprint, bridging rule generation and validation engines into one seamless pipeline. Won the internal hackathon.
// Open Source
Contributed bug fixes and feature enhancements to Great Expectations, the widely-used open-source data-quality framework.
Added support for pd.Timestamp in datetime comparison operations, enabling Pandas Timestamp objects to be used natively in date-based expectations.
Fixed an isinstance check for ColumnElement in SqlAlchemyExecutionEngine, resolving incorrect type handling in SQL-based data validation pipelines.
Diagnosed and fixed a bug in TablePro, an AI-assisted database client for macOS.
